FPS Physics-based weapon animation prototype

Design Goals

To implement a physics-based weapon system using UE5. All pistol animations are controlled by physics impulses and a spring arm connected to the camera.
Animations include:

  • Hip-fire recoil
  • ADS recoil and force player out of ADS
  • Weapon sway when walking
  • Weapon down when sprinting

While making this process, I also learned how to develop basic AI animations and behaviors for the combat arena.
