Below is an excerpt from my unpublished first novel Colossus Majiim.

In the beginning, the universe was nothing more than potential. A sea of emptiness waiting on the precipice of something more. 

It was Enene who saw this potential for what it could be: a place to create. To explore the billions of possibilities that their form could take. 

To begin, Enene split themself in two. The Great Divide. Creating the contained, controlled, and organized within Teknos. And the wild, experimental, and chaotic within Natura. These two would create the Realms how they saw fit. 

Teknos crafted the First Realm in their own image—a place so immaculately constructed that all potential was realized at the point of conception. The nine sacred children were the only beings capable of comprehending this realms’ existence. 

Natura, on the other hand, waded into the undefined miasma of creation itself, and created the Second Realm beyond all understanding—a place only discoverable when the sacred and the mortals journeyed together. 

After creating on their own, the two came together in sacred conjugation to create the Third Realm and the First Family. 

The Third Realm was to be the most balanced creation in the universe, and the place where Enene’s potential could flourish on its own. 

The First Family were the four physical building blocks from which the Third Realm would inherit. They were the fire of Progros, the soil of Maximo, the water of Vega, and the air of Equia. 

Together, The First Family materialized the Third Realm into an existence beyond that of their parent’s potential. And with it, the nine sacred children (and the three quarreling brothers) populated the Third Realm with Enene’s purest potential: the mortal souls. 

But during the chaos of this divine procreation, Enene plotted in secret to give the mortal souls a piece of creation for themselves. By surging a bolt of pure potential through Natura (who at the time thought the sensation to be creation’s ecstasy), a fifth and most mischievous child was created: Lux. Outcast of The First Family, Lux was to become the bridge between the Gods and the mortals. Lux would introduce the chaos of potential creation to the Third Realm and to all those who inhabit it. 

And when the Third Realm and the mortal souls came into being, Lux spoke to them and taught them the Resonance of Gods.
